Jason Saunders Design is a branding, graphic and web design company based in Auckland, New Zealand with a reputation for a no-nonsense approach, strong ideas and well-crafted design responses to our clients' strategic business issues. Run by a husband and wife team, we're a lean and agile outfit, managing the work of many ourselves with a team of skilled specialist contractors that we involve as required. We offer the services and skills of a larger agency with the flexibility, creativity and personal touch that you could only expect from a boutique design company.

We work with large and small clients in all business sectors (and partner with other design agencies) from the UK, Asia, Australia and here in New Zealand on anything that you might think of as a brand touch point — from identity work, to digital, to print and environmental design.

Design Services

Branding and identity design

Jason Saunders has been working on brand projects since the early nineties. Much has changed since then but our approach to branding is pretty much the same — looking for the most refreshing and interesting ways to communicate what actually makes you interesting. We don’t describe our approach as being a scientific process or use fancy branding terms to help us stand out from other design companies. We think branding is about human nature — developing brands with strong human characteristics that people find appealing and can engage with.

Digital design and development

Our services also extend to digital design and development. The digital projects we work on are a seamless extension of our traditional design skills and thinking — brand communication and engagement is still at the core. We design and develop responsive websites and work with a number of collaborators on applications and e-commerce projects.

Print and publication design

Jason Saunders has many years experience designing books, magazines, brochures, annual reports, CSR reports, stationery, posters, packaging and other printed items. Our in-depth knowledge of materials and understanding of print processes often leads to design solutions that can push print boundaries and create standout. When managing print on our clients’ behalf this experience ensures we deliver the highest quality results.

Other things we like to do

Branding, design for print and digital design and development are the things we do every day but we also like to work on projects that require more three dimensional design skills. We enjoy environmental and way-finding design and have experience working on a number of exhibitions for the Tate and the Imperial War Museum in the UK, developing the three dimensional and 2 dimensional aspects of exhibitions and the marketing materials. We’ve also designed reception desks for Chorus and designed a number of marketing suites for property developers as well as providing design direction for a number of interior design schemes. We find many design skills are quite transferable and we’re always up for a new challenge.
